Milligram Cracker
From PyroGuide
A milligram cracker is a firecracker that should contain 1-1000 mg of report composition. Most notably milligram crackers are made with 50 mg of flash powder as with their commercial firecracker counterpart... |

[edit] ConstructionPlace a small length of black match into a small piece of masking tape. |
Pinch the corners of the end the fuse is inserted into closed. |
Place a small scoop of report composition into the small cup. Knock off the excess. |
While pinching the fused end, push the other end towards the fused end so it just closes in the report composition. Do not fold it completely closed! The fuse should form a perpendicular with the folded masking when looking from above, and form a 90 degree angle when looking from the side. |
While pinching the fused end in between one hands thumb and index finder, place your thumb on the perpendicular end (the one you just closed) so your thumb\index finger from the one hand is forming a perpendicular with the thumb of the other hand. Rolling your thumb to one side or the other will cause the once perpendicular end to be parallel with the fused end. |
Roll the fused side onto the sticky side until completely closed. |
These firecrackers can be ignited separately if visco or other slow burning fuse is used in place of black match or they can be easily linked together in a stickymatch type manner. Please watch the video below for a video tutorial of construction and linking of these small firecrackers. Note: In the video the report do not sound as loud as they actually are. These firecrackers may look smaller than their commercial counterparts, but they are as loud as or louder if you are using a good report composition. |
